Position Title: Youth Basketball Intern

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Youth and Community Engagement

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Join our team as a Youth Basketball Intern, playing a vital role in our Social Responsibility department with a primary focus on youth basketball and community programs. You'll be responsible for coordinating and enhancing our youth basketball initiatives, including Courtside Class, Jr. Kings camps, clinics, and leagues. In addition to assisting with event logistics, you will collaborate with schools and community partners. This dynamic role also involves supporting donation requests and community events.

Program Period: June - August 2025

Key Responsibility Areas: As the Youth & Community Engagement Intern, you'll be a problem-solving and execution champion. Your responsibilities will extend to youth basketball and community events encompassing the following:

  • Research, schedule, plan, and assist in executing all youth basketball programs and events
  • Set up and break down youth basketball events
  • Efficiently manage youth basketball email correspondence
  • Support the preparation and distribution of Jr. Kings swag
  • Conduct research on best practices in youth sports
  • Maintain real-time inventory of youth basketball materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Monitor and track youth basketball Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monthly and end-of-year impact reports
  • Be available to work nights and weekends

To qualify for Kings University internships, you must be:

  • Currently enrolled in college or have graduated within 12 months
  • Able to commute to the downtown Sacramento office
  • Able to work 25-40 hours per week during the summer session

Interns will be compensated $16.50 per hour and receive benefits such as California Paid Sick Leave, discounts on Sacramento Kings merchandise, and free parking.
