Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Production Services Analyst is responsible for documenting, executing, and communicating all activities carried out from the assignments desk to the Telemundo bureau, as well as any field coverage indicated in the work orders for specific projects or special assignments.

This information will be provided by the Supervisor of Camera Operators and Editors and reported to the Senior Manager of Technical Production and Field Services.

The integration of information from the assignments desk involves the following:

Classifying the group of camera operators and editors based on the technical profile previously defined for each service, in order to make the appropriate assignments for each requirement.

Ensuring that assignments guarantee full compliance with project requirements, directives, and understanding of the scope, while communicating to both freelance and staff personnel in a timely manner all relevant details, such as:

Type of coverage: interview, red carpet, press conference, etc.
Content details: interview, B-roll (visuals), standby on location awaiting content.
Date and time for: call time for the assignment, start of recording, and end of coverage (entertainment).
Confirming availability.
All editorial considerations to be taken into account.

By confirming each element inherent to the assignment, optimal compliance with service orders and project initiation is ensured.

In addition, the Production Services Analyst is responsible for requesting support from the Logistics and Production Analyst to coordinate travel reservations and payments, recording equipment for documentation, lodging, ground transportation, or any potential additional fees, so that the assigned team has all necessary resources well in advance to start the assignment on time and as planned.

They design a working file to assign and monitor the total time allocated for each project, ensuring proper resource management without exceeding standard working hours or costs.

The analyst verifies that invoices submitted by freelancers accurately match the previously requested time and assignment, thereby guaranteeing that payment of their fees is duly justified.

They prepare, consolidate, and send daily assignments report which—after approval from the Senior Manager of Technical Production and Field Services—is forwarded to the production administration and/or finance departments of the following divisions: Entertainment, News, Sports, and Affiliates

Temporary position: 1 year contract

Qualifications

Work Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., subject to adjustment to align with U.S. operational requirements.

Demonstrated advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Intermediate English proficiency.
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to order.
Effective management of large-scale internal databases.
Strongly developed communication and process-follow-up abilities.
Ability to resolve diverse issues within short timeframes.
Availability to respond to and follow up on assignments both on-site and remotely, with sound judgment to provide solutions while adhering to established criteria and guidelines.
Excellent management of internal and external interpersonal relationships.
Ability to work effectively under pressure
