Company Description

As Supply Chain Planning Team Lead, you will own and drive the downstream balancing pillar of our global S&OP process supported by SAP IBP. You will ensure that the global demand plan is translated into a realistic, capacity-aligned supply, inventory, and production plan, while leading a high-performing team and orchestrating cross-functional alignment. Acting as both process owner and system expert, you will shape standards, strengthen planning capabilities, and continuously enhance tools and ways of working across our global organization.

Job Description

TEAM LEADERSHIP/ DEVELOPMENT

You will lead, coach, and develop the global planning team, defining clear objectives, roles, and priorities to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of the monthly planning cycle. You will provide regular feedback, support individual development, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As the senior escalation point, you will guide the team through complex supply balancing challenges and critical business trade-offs.

S&OP Cycle & Cross-Functional Alignment

You will own the global S&OP calendar, aligning it closely with financial planning cycles and ensuring transparent communication of timelines and milestones. You will prepare and facilitate key monthly meetings — including the global S&OP forum — ensuring discussions are structured, decision-driven, and outcome-focused. Clear follow-up and alignment with Sales, Operations, Finance, Logistics, and S&OE will be essential to ensure seamless execution.

Global Supply & Inventory Planning

You will take full ownership of the global supply and inventory plan in SAP IBP, ensuring feasibility within capacity, supply network, and policy constraints. By driving structured scenario planning, you will evaluate options, highlight trade-offs, and support fact-based decision-making across a rolling 18–24 month horizon. You will ensure strong alignment between mid-term planning and short-term execution.

Planning Governance & System Optimization (SAP IBP)

You will safeguard the quality, stability, and continuous improvement of SAP IBP, working closely with IT to resolve system issues and prioritize enhancements. You will ensure structured testing of new functionalities, validate bug fixes, and guarantee that the planning system accurately reflects the evolving supply network. Your goal: transparent, reliable, and efficient planning outcomes.

Community Enablement & Capability Building

You will position your team as process and tool experts within the global planning community. This includes providing high-quality second-level support to local planners, leading knowledge-sharing sessions, owning the global S&OP scorecard, and driving improvement discussions across markets. You will define and oversee the global training agenda, ensuring up-to-date documentation, strong adoption of standards, and continuous capability growth across the organization.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

You will drive the standardization and rollout of S&OP processes and tools in distribution partner markets, ensuring alignment with global guidelines. You will support markets in optimizing safety stock levels and planning parameters, balancing service levels with working capital targets. As a senior key user, you will champion advanced planning practices and lead initiatives that continuously strengthen process efficiency and effectiveness.
