Job Description
We are in search of a highly-skilled senior-level writer, storyteller, editor, keeper of the brand voice, and AI promtper to work across all the sports and entertainment brands—including SportsEngine, GolfNow, GolfPass, Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, and more - as we make history launching Versant, a modern media company spin-off of Comcast NBCUniversal.
Our ideal candidate knows how to weave a compelling story across many forms of marketing-related deliverables, including brand campaigns, email journeys, digital advertising campaigns, infographics, website content, on-air and radio scripts, etc. Perhaps even more importantly, this person is adept at prompting AI tools such as Google Gemini, Claude, and/ or Chat GPT to deliver quality copy for turnkey initiatives such as national promotions, social media copy, and more.

Responsibilities:
Lead all copy projects for the Creative group as the team’s copy-creation strategist
Develop clear and compelling copy for various channels including websites, apps, advertising, promotions and giveaways, video scripts, social media, product marketing campaigns, and more
Lead brainstorming sessions, conceptualize and collaborate with Designers, Art Directors, Creative Directors, Producers, Marketing leads, and Product team members on projects
Prompter and Editor for all AI-generated copy used for templated, turnkey copy requests
At times, manage external copywriter resources in partnership with Creative Directors
Adhere to and evolve our product Brand Guidelines, maintaining cohesive tone, voice, style, and messaging across all platforms while considering strategic goals and company values
Generate unique brand campaign concepts with Creative and Marketing team
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Expertly interface with internal stakeholders to receive feedback and adjust copy as needed
Collaborate with data and Portfolio Marketing teams to evaluate performance (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion, etc.) and optimize copy
Constantly aware of new industry trends and products developed that could assist with efficiency and optimization
At times, prepare presentation slides and pitch concepts to internal stakeholders

Qualifications
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferably in English, Writing, Editing, Journalism, Marketing, or similar
5+ years of copywriting experience
Has experience writing for both B2B and B2C audiences
Portfolio is required to demonstrate creative skills; may be asked to take a writing test
Adept at Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, etc.
Willingness to work a hybrid 3-day schedule in Orlando, FL hub office
Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance required
Desired characteristics:
Excellent analytical, marketing, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks/assignments/projects concurrently
Has a bias for action, and operates with a built-in sense of urgency to meet deadlines
