Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. NBCU’s Decision Sciences Media Analytics team is seeking a Senior Analyst who blends strong analytical experience and strategic acumen to enable data-driven media optimization and insights. This role will be instrumental in analyzing media performance, providing executive-facing reporting, and delivering key insights that drive NBCUniversal Television & Streaming and Peacock success. The Sr. Analyst will partner closely with Performance Marketing to influence strategic decisions for media optimization and planning.

Key Responsibilities

Identify trends, patterns, and key drivers within data to inform strategic decision-making and optimize media strategies for the NBCU/Peacock business
Lead working discussions with Performance Media stakeholders to develop the optimized media mix, across channels, creative, and other considerations
Conduct ad-hoc deep dives and exploratory analyses to inform campaign planning
Produce recurring reporting and insights to analyze campaign performance and influence optimizations for pacing and media contributions towards business goals
Develop optimization strategies that maximize return from media, for conversion, platform engagement, and other KPIs
Maintain tracking and reporting of media contributions to business objectives and key results
Contribute to cross-channel measurement efforts, triangulating learnings across other techniques, including Marketing Mix Modeling, attribution, and experiments
Ensure data alignment with wider Advanced Analytics team; help standardize NBCU Media Group’s Measurement approach

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in marketing analytics or performance media
Experience with Performance Media campaign optimizations, analysis, and reporting
Effective communicator and collaborator with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in tools like Tableau or other data visualization software
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
Familiarity with, or interest in, media mix modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA), customer journey analytics
Demonstrates strong sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision & purpose

Desired Characteristics:

Experience in a subscription or digital media business/agency
Experience querying large datasets with SQL, BigQuery, Databricks, or other similar data analysis tools
Ability to navigate through ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and build consensus in a highly matrixed environment

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000
