Signature Events Production Team Lead

Pay Details:

The starting hourly rate for this position is $28.00 per hour.

The Signature Events Production Team Lead is a part-time, seasonal position with the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club (ADHC). This role serves as the primary liaison and point of contact for the Anaheim Ducks Event Production Team, leading the group in executing integrated events and programming across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Event Production Team and the Anaheim Ducks Signature Events group

  • Review load-in lists, installation maps, and strike plans with the Signature Events Manager, and communicate/execute these plans independently with the Event Production Team

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of event setup and strike, including:

    • Loading equipment and branding assets into Ducks vehicles and trucks, following proper securing procedures

    • Unloading and transporting equipment to designated setup locations

    • Assembling, installing, and setting up trussing, staging, lighting, audio equipment, and décor

    • Running, coiling, and taping power and control cables

    • Installing signage with accuracy and attention to detail

    • Testing and troubleshooting equipment to ensure functionality

    • Striking and packing equipment post-event, loading trucks, and returning assets to the warehouse

  • Manage the Event Production Team’s break schedule during shifts to ensure proper coverage and compliance

  • Perform a final event sweep, conduct inventory, and document key details at the end of each shift; communicate updates to the Signature Events Manager

  • Maintain, clean, and organize event equipment and assets to ensure they are in good working condition and ready for future use

  • Support warehouse organization by ensuring all items are clearly labeled, stored properly, and easily accessible for load-in/load-out

  • Represent the Anaheim Ducks brand through high-quality event execution and on-site hospitality, delivering a positive and engaging fan experience

  • Interact with fans, staff, and partners in a professional, service-oriented manner that reinforces brand values

  • Support the execution of the Anaheim Ducks’ event hospitality strategy to engage key stakeholders and constituents

  • Perform other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of two years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience operating trucks or large vehicles for event load-in/load-out is preferred

  • Prior exposure to event production or operations, including setup and strike, is a plus

  • Familiarity with using power tools (e.g., drills, saws), measuring, cutting, and truss assembly/striking is preferred

  • Experience with handling and setting up audio equipment (e.g., PA speakers, microphones, cables) is a plus

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is also a plus

  • Understanding and adherence to workplace and event safety requirements

  • Familiarity with general event production, promotional setup, and logistics

  • Knowledge of best practices for warehouse, vehicle, and event space organization

  • Awareness of surroundings with a commitment to maintaining professionalism at all times

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative, efficient solutions

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • High attention to detail, particularly during setup, event production, and strike phases

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; customer service-oriented approach

  • Process improvement mindset—consistently seeking ways to work more effectively and efficiently

  • Comfortable working prolonged hours and responding to last-minute requests or changes

  • Must be responsive and able to report to work sites on short notice and on time

  • Willing and able to work in outdoor conditions and adapt to various public or environmental settings

  • Able to collaborate as a team player while also demonstrating self-motivation and leadership traits

  • Able to represent the organization in a professional manner during interactions with stakeholders, vendors, venues, and the public

  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively

  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight shifts as needed

  • Able to regularly lift, push, pull, or otherwise move and position up to 75 pounds

  • Able to operate safely and responsibly as a company promotional vehicle driver, including transporting marketing materials and equipment to/from event locations

  • Possess a valid California driver’s license and a clean driving record; must be eligible for coverage under the company’s insurance policy
