About the Role

As the Partnerships Account Manager, you will be responsible for servicing AFL, AFLW and Community partnership portfolios, with a focus on building and fostering exemplary relationships with partners, helping with the development of strategic and annual objectives and the utilisation of contracted benefits to deliver on mutually agreed success metrics. You will be responsible for leading, executing and reporting on partnership strategy to partners, and being proactive to mitigate any risks on delivering outcomes and contracted benefits.

This role also requires working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure partnership objectives and underlining assets are delivered. As well as driving partner outcomes, you will upsell opportunities, lead partner reporting and insights and will deliver timely and accurate budget and forecast management for partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage specific Club partners across AFL and AFLW
  • Managing the relationship with an allocated group of Carlton’s partners through delivering benefits and implementing leveraging programs, such as but not limited to: campaign management, player appearances, brand activations, digital campaigns, partner events, setting clear objectives and planning for how to achieve them, maintaining great working relationships and communication with partners, and ensuring regular WIPs are maintained with partners
  • Maintaining and presenting records of all statistics that assist in preparing proposals and reports including: marketing and brand concept and strategies, campaign reports, partnerships reports, and ability to use reporting to provide partner insights
  • Up to date budget forecast management of allocated partners, as well as tracking of expenses
  • Conduct industry research on best practice partnerships, including benchmarking, asset development and partner return on investment strategies

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Degree in marketing, communications, advertising or similar
  • Demonstrated experience servicing clients
  • Exposure to partnership management, with ability to build positive and valued relationships
  • Understanding of sports marketing
  • Desire to build on strategic, commercial and negotiation skills and have the ability to influence with integrity
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to comprehensively manage multiple projects/products whilst maintaining high levels of attention to detail
  • High level of personal care for their work, stakeholders and the organisation
  • Ability to be creative and innovative
  • High level interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Values driven, with demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and within a team
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM systems
