NFL Media is seeking a Part-Time Archivist to work in our Media Services group at our West Coast Headquarters in Inglewood, CA. As a candidate, you must have 3-5 years of previous experience working in a live broadcast post-production environment and extensive experience with media management, archiving, and managing projects and assignments. Also needs a demonstrated ability to provide operational, technical support, and training to our production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Daily media management and archiving within our Media Asset Management systems, including standardizing metadata and tracking a large volume of content throughout the media supply chain.
  • Technical support for virtual and physical edit systems throughout the facility, with the ability to troubleshoot issues with computers, monitors, thin clients, and computer peripherals, either resolving issues or opening tickets as needed.
  • Documentation of daily workflows and detailed tracking of media management jobs assigned within the department.
  • First-line support for Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve troubleshooting.
  • Technical support for our Media Asset Management system, providing SOP’s and acting as a first responder for any technical troubleshooting for all users within the facility.
  • System monitoring of workflow applications and servers responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Media Services group. This includes our MAM (Vidispine), Telestream Vantage, and EVS environment (XSquare, IP Director, XFile3, IPD VIA).
  • Support for our LTO tape environment, running archive and restore workflows as needed.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Must have 3-5 years of previous experience working in a live broadcast post-production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems, along with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NFL and College football.
  • Fluency with all Microsoft Office software applications

  • Ability to learn and master new technology and workflows, as well as provide training and guidance to others working within the broadcast facility.
  • Possess excellent communication skills that allow for highly productive workflows between the editorial and production departments.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and escalate issues to upper management when necessary.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, positive workplace approach, work well with others, and adapt in a quickly changing production environment.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including overnights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must work less than 29 hours/week
