Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Immersion Program:

Program Dates: Assignments will begin as early as January 13, 2026, and run through February 23, 2026. Most roles will last approximately 3 to 4 weeks, with the exact duration determined at the time of placement.
Time Commitment: Anticipate a minimum of 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.
Program Logistics: Participants will be eligible for per diem, travel, and accommodation support, subject to program guidelines and approval. Free shuttle service to and from the office will be provided from the Stamford train station and/or hotel accommodation.

Digital Commercial Operators
This position will be working within the Peacock Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC) as a team member providing assistance in delivering digital ads into NBCUniversal’s digital live event streams during the 2026 Winter Olympics. As part of this role, this intern will be responsible for inserting digital ad pods into live streams as well as real time monitoring and support for the delivery of NBCU content.
Responsibilities may include:
Inserting advertising pods into digital livestreams.
Monitoring the end-to-end distribution of NBCUniversal digital video assets on NBC OTT Platforms including any issues with audio, video, cc, or issues with the streams themselves.
Perform monitoring and support of digital video workflows including escalating to Level 1/Level 2 operators.
Clearly communicating with production teams to ensure broadcast standard execution of livestreams.
Physical checks on endpoint devices and platforms to ensure assets are available & functioning as expected.
Digital Editorial Associates
Assist with day-to-day creation, publication and management of digital content on NBCOlympics.com.
Responsibilities may include:
Writing SEO-focused content, including tune-in articles, athlete bios, etc.
Writing headlines and descriptions and carrying out content tagging for short-form video content.
Managing live stream metadata, including writing titles, cropping and uploading images and tagging event details.
Supporting the coverage of Olympic sports across Peacock, NBC.com, NBCSports.com and other digital platforms.
Digital Production Assistants
Assist in the production of 100+ daily video highlights and features during the Olympic Games, from every Olympic sport, for publication on NBC’s digital platforms. Those include Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, the NBC app, social media channels, and connected television apps.
Responsibilities may include:
Monitoring live Olympic events, noting and clipping significant moments.
Supporting producers & editors with shot selection and story research.
Preparing video for digital publishing – creating thumbnail images, adding descriptive metadata, etc.
Digital Streaming Operators
Responsible for learning to manage timely and reliable delivery of NBCU live and Video On Demand (VOD) content to the NBC OTT Platforms. This role provides real time monitoring and support for the delivery of NBCU content.
Responsibilities may include:
Monitoring the end-to-end distribution of NBCUniversal digital video assets on NBC OTT Platforms
Performing Level 1 monitoring and support of digital video workflows including escalating to Level 2, resolution and reporting out
Digital encoder set up of event-based streaming across all events during the 2026 Winter Olympics
Clearly communicating with production teams to ensure broadcast standard execution of livestreams
Physical checks on endpoint devices and platforms to ensure assets are available as expected
Partnering with engineering to monitor traditional and digital signal transmission
Assisting digital technical teams with testing and other preparations in the lead-up to the Olympics
Engineering – Maintenance Comms
The Production Engineering team is the backbone of the Stamford facility, delivering critical support for NBC Sports Group’s Production and Operations. From ensuring seamless day-to-day operations to powering some of the world's most-watched events, like the Winter Olympics.
Responsibilities may include:
Partnering with the Production Engineering team to maintain and optimize production systems throughout the building. This includes performing basic troubleshooting in the Post, Studio, and Graphics departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
Providing support to the Engineering teams by contributing to documentation efforts and updating technical drawings, ensuring all systems are accurately documented and up to date.
Runners
Communications:
The Communications Runner plays a key support role in the day-to-day operations for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan. This position is ideal for individuals who are proactive, flexible, and eager to contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This individual will assist our communication and production teams with a variety of tasks, ranging from administrative duties to hands-on media interview support and errand running.
Responsibilities may include:
Support press and communications operations by assisting with logistics, setup, and coordination.
Act as a reliable point of contact for urgent requests and last-minute needs from team members.
Work closely with communications team to ensure smooth execution of daily operations.
Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and demonstrate flexibility in responding to shifting priorities or needs.
Operations:
NBC Olympics is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Operations Runners for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. This position is integral to the success of our broadcast operations and client experience. Runners will be assigned to various areas within the Operations Support team.
Responsibilities may include:
Providing hands-on support for logistical and operational tasks across assigned departments.
Performing clerical and administrative tasks upon request.
Assisting various teams with support needs as required.
Maintaining professionalism in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Editorial/Research:
The NBC Olympics Research team is responsible for ensuring accuracy and sound editorial judgment on all content shared (internally and externally) during the Olympics. The research team supports production, digital, social, marketing, and more, and is looking for a candidate who is versatile, self-motivated, energetic, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities may include:
Assist research team in monitoring social media and online publications for reaction, developing stories, and news on Olympians and Olympic events
Production Loggers
Responsible for logging events as they happen, as well as logging footage from various shoots
Candidates must be proficient with computers and have knowledge of sports
Position requires accuracy, excellent typing skills, and patience
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.

Must be able to work assigned hours, including evenings and weekends.

For Digital Production Assistants: Experience publishing video to digital/social platforms. Experience producing sports highlights using AVID or Adobe Premier and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Photoshop (a plus)
For Digital Streaming Operations: Experience running live streams of college/school sporting events. Experience, understanding and knowledge of digital product and distribution systems, standards and processes. Technical experience with digital video and audio, troubleshooting and test techniques.
