Red Bull North America is looking for a skilled and adaptable attorney to support the Litigation, Labor, and Employment functions across its operations in the United States and Canada. Reporting directly to the Senior Legal Counsel for Litigation, Labor, and Employment, this position will involve close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to manage litigation, provide guidance on employment-related issues, mitigate risks, and ensure legal compliance, all while aligning with Red Bull's overarching business goals.

Job Description

LITIGATION

Assist with ongoing litigation for Red Bull North America and its affiliated companies, including matters related to employment, general liability, governmental agency claims, and certain contract disputes.

Contribute to the development of litigation and dispute resolution strategies, ensuring alignment with the Senior Legal Counsel, Senior Director, and key local and global stakeholders.

Collaborate with outside counsel, conduct claim investigations, review pleadings, and manage the discovery process. Oversee and approve budgets, legal invoices, and legal correspondence.

Perform early risk assessments and communicate findings throughout the litigation lifecycle.

Draft and deliver training sessions on litigation-related topics.

Proactively monitor industry litigation trends and provide guidance to Legal Department colleagues and internal clients.

LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAW

Offer guidance on a comprehensive array of labor and employment law matters, including hiring practices, leave policies and accommodations, disciplinary actions, terminations, regulatory compliance, as well as compensation and benefits.

Review and provide recommendations for the creation and refinement of human resources-related policies and procedures.

Develop and deliver training sessions on employment and labor law topics.

Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements that address labor and employment concerns.

Actively track changes in employment laws and provide updates and counsel to Legal Department team members and internal stakeholders.

INTERNAL RESOURCE & PARTNERSHIPS

Support company-wide compliance initiatives and efforts to mitigate risks.

Provide employment-related and litigation support for corporate transactions.

Effectively communicate litigation-related risks to colleagues within the Legal Department and internal clients.

Collaborate with other pillars of the Legal Department on matters such as auto liability, general liability, marketing, regulatory issues, data privacy, and intellectual property.

Qualifications

Extensive litigation background with some experience in employment law.

Skilled in managing outside counsel and overseeing the discovery process.

Business-oriented, pragmatic, and adept at providing guidance to cross-functional teams.

Proactive, highly organized, and capable of thriving in a dynamic work environment.

Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school.

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at a top-tier law firm, in-house at a comparable company, or a combination of both.

Active member in good standing with the California bar or registered as in-house counsel.

Proficient in handling employment-related matters and general commercial litigation.

Experienced in drafting pleadings and motions, as well as managing the discovery process.

Willingness to travel up to 5%.

Additional Information

This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.

The base salary range for this position is $148,000 - $222,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified.
