Groundsman/Apprentice Greenkeeper

Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is one of Australia’s most prestigious golf destinations, featuring two championship courses and world-class facilities. We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Course Maintenance Team as either a Groundsman or an Apprentice Greenkeeper.

This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to begin or further their career in turf management. We welcome applications from both entry-level candidates and those with experience, including mature-age apprentices.

The Role

You will work as part of a professional team dedicated to maintaining and presenting two championship-standard golf courses to the highest level. This role is hands-on and outdoors, requiring pride in your work, attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers
• Operation of turf care machinery including mowers, trimmers, and blowers
• Assisting with irrigation operation, monitoring, and repairs
• Support in course renovations and turf improvement projects
• Contributing to landscaping and presentation works across the course

About You

• Passion for working outdoors and in the turf/golf industry
• Willingness to learn with apprenticeship pathways available (including mature-age)
• Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work early mornings and rostered weekends
• Previous experience in turf, landscaping, or grounds work highly regarded but not essential
• Positive team player with good communication skills
