Position Title:                  Golf Course Pro Shop Cashier

Reporting Authority:      Golf Professional/Facility Manager

Classification:                  Non-Exempt – Non-Union

Salary:                              $15.00 per hour

 

Position Concept: 

The Golf Course Cashier's position is located in the clubhouse of the golf course. The Cashier is generally the first point of contact for the customer. His/her primary responsibility is to ring up customers using our Point of Sale software, sell merchandise, make tee times for customers, restock merchandise and supplies, and deliver excellent customer service.

Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to:

·       Greet all customers with a smile and in a warm, welcoming, professional manner

·       Accurately collect payment using the POS System for all fees due

·       Be familiar with rates (Season Pass, green fees, cart fees, food etc.)

·       Make customers aware the conditions of play for the day (i.e. cart path only, maintenance concerns etc.)

·       Promote the facility programs, events and image to the customers of the facility at all times

·       Promote the SPD Golf Website – www.springfieldparkdistrictgolf.org 

·       Thank the customers for playing upon completion of their round

·       Handle food in accordance with SDPH guidelines

·       Stock/Restock merchandise/food/beer as needed

·       Make sure restrooms are fully stocked & clean

·       Keep work area neat and clean at all times

·       Comply with all cash handling procedures in accordance with SPD guidelines

·       This position may perform additional duties as needed/required

General Requirements:

·       Must be able to read and write and have good command of the English language.

·       Good oral and written communication.

·       Physical capabilities – lifts 50 pounds, squat, bend and move as necessary for the job.

·       Must possess valid Illinois Driver’s License.

·       Must work well with the public.

·       Must present a neat and professional appearance (Collared golf shirt - NO T-Shirts).

·       Responsible to follow policies and procedures outlined in Springfield Park District employee manual.
