Golf Course Maintenance Tech III

Job Summary:

Daily course set up is an important function of the golf course management staff, providing an essential service to members and guest.  Course setup that is properly executed will enhance the member/guest experience, allowing for an enjoyable yet challenging and varied round of golf.  As we provide course setup, it is critical we have a keen eye for detail and variation such as pin locations, tee locations, amount of play, etc.

Essential Functions:

Job duties include, although are not limited to:

• Proficient in all duties of Level I and Level II Technicians
• Course Setup
• Moving tee markers
• Hand watering greens
• Hand Watering fairways
• Operate Aerifiers
• Operate Dakota and Ty-Crop spreaders
• Operate Verticutters
• Operate Root Pruner
• Level drains and sprinklers
• Grade cart paths and apply dust control
• Operate Chipper
• Operate Chainsaw
• Operate Boom Lift
• Operate Skid Steer and Front Loader
• Operate Tractors
• Perform Bunker Inspection
  
  

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills; team orientated.
• Desire to serve and create lifelong memories.
• Previous experience in GCM required.
• Love for the game of golf preferred.
• Ability to comprehend instructions given in English or Spanish.
• Ability to work 5 days a week, weekends and holidays.
• Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Majority of tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and rainy.  
• Temperatures can be extreme but are usually moderate.  
• Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts.  
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands, bend and stoop, remain at post standing for periods of time, walk for a long distance, and is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
