Position Summary:
The Esports Operations Assistant supports the MIU Esports Program by assisting with a variety of tasks integral to the success and day-to-day operation of the program. This role may involve event organization, content creation, live broadcasting, digital marketing, team management, community engagement, and more. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated student eager to learn and contribute to the growing field of esports.
In alignment with MIU’s mission, this position also supports the program’s commitment to providing a world-class, Consciousness-Based approach to esports—fostering personal growth, peak performance, and holistic development alongside competitive excellence.

Job Responsibilities:
The specific responsibilities will vary depending on the student's skills and the needs of the program. Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:
1. Event Planning – Assist in planning and executing in-person and online esports events.
2. Facility Operations – Help maintain and manage the esports facility, ensuring it is ready for practices and events.
3. Broadcasting & Production – Operate streaming software, manage overlays, run live broadcasts, and assist with technical production.
4. Graphic Design – Design graphics for events, broadcasts, marketing materials, and social media.
5. Data Entry – Maintain player stats, tournament results, scheduling information, and other program data.
6. Tournament Operations – Assist in the setup and operation of tournaments, including bracketing and rules enforcement.
7. Content Creation – Contribute to music, video production, streaming content, or editing for social platforms.
8. Gaming Instruction – Assist in coaching or leading sessions focused on skill development in esports titles.
9. Exploratory Learning – Conduct research on esports trends, tools, and innovations to support program growth.
10. Digital Marketing – Support marketing campaigns through email, video, and web promotions.
11. Social Media Management – Create and manage posts, campaigns, and community engagement across platforms.
12. Team Management – Help coordinate team schedules, communications, and documentation.
13. Community Engagement – Represent the program at events and connect with student and local gaming communities.
14. Cross-Departmental Collaboration – Work with other departments (e.g., marketing, IT, student life) to support program needs.
15. Project Management – Lead or assist with ongoing projects related to esports operations or development.
16. Lead Generation – Assist with outreach efforts to attract new students or community partners to the program.
Job Qualifications:
This is an entry-level student position, ideal for those who are self-starting, creative, and passionate about esports. Priority will be given to candidates with experience or demonstrated interest in the field. Preferred qualifications include:

Supervisor: Eric Enlow - Esports Head Coach
Coach Enlow is an esports broadcaster, event organizer and head coach of the MIU Esport Program. Coach Enlow was selected for his role due to his background in education, youth mentorship and mental health. Coach Enlow first started his career studying secondary education but later pivoted himself to pursuing a specialized degree in esports event management and production. As a coach, Enlow has spent the last 7 years working international teams and has built esport programs for educational institutes including elementary schools, high schools and colleges.
Coach Enlow is best known for his dynamic speaking voice where he boastfully encourages students to develop a “hunger” and seek to develop the passions of which gives them purpose. His galvanizing message has captivated audiences and has seen him regularly invited as both a speaker and broadcaster to a fair number of events. Upon Joining MIU, Coach Enlow was granted the title “VOICE OF THE HUNGRY”
