Education Program Coordinator & Facilitator (12-month maternity leave contract)

About the role

The club has an opportunity for someone to join them in this 12-month maternity leave position. The Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivery of classroom-based education programs and the facilitation of football clinics, across Western Australia. The position will be on the ground delivering engaging sessions in schools and communities—bringing the game, our values and key education themes to life through both in-class learning and practical football experiences. These programs span primary and secondary schools, holiday clinics, community initiatives, and member benefit programs—designed to engage young people, educators and the broader community through football.

This is a hands-on, highly varied role responsible for coordinating, promoting and delivering education initiatives, while building strong relationships with schools, teachers, community partners and internal teams. The position also plays an important role in supporting membership growth by connecting community engagement with consumer outcomes.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Education, key responsibilities include:

• Deliver and coordinate a wide range of education programs (school visits, clinics Eagles Active and holiday programs).
• Schedule and manage a comprehensive calendar of education bookings and activities.
• Support the delivery of teacher professional development sessions.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, teachers and community stakeholders.
• Assist in upskilling community staff to deliver education programs effectively.
• Coordinate and deliver club tours for schools and community groups.
• Work closely with the Consumer Business team to support membership conversion initiatives, including programs such as Learning to Fly.
• Support regional program delivery, including travel across Western Australia as required.
• Contribute to broader Community & Game Development initiatives and events.

Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement to work evenings, weekends and match days, as well as travel regionally.

Our ideal person

We are looking for someone who is energetic, organised and passionate about engaging the community through education and sport. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both delivering programs on the ground and coordinating logistics behind the scenes.

Additionally, it would be ideal if you had:

• Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with schools, community programs or youth engagement initiatives.
• A genuine passion for community development and education through sport.
• Confidence delivering sessions, presentations or clinics to diverse audiences.
• Ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel regionally and work outside standard hours when required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative systems.
• Experience or knowledge of football (desirable but not essential).
