Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

VERSANT, Comcast Corporation’s (NASDAQ: CMCSA) planned spin-off, will be a leading independent publicly traded media company comprised of most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.

VERSANT is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Multimedia Content Coordinator who will play a key role in boosting our Corporate Digital presence both internally and externally. You will ideate fresh concepts, streamline workflow, and capture compelling content across our brands, all while pushing the creative envelope. Working alongside our Communications, Community Impact and Brand Leadership teams, you will produce videos, still photography and collaborate on a thoughtful content strategy that inspires audience engagement, grows our followers, and builds brand awareness.

The Multimedia Coordinator will be responsible for capturing the moments that make VERSANT so special – from behind-the-scenes shots on location, to Community Impact efforts and VERSANT events – you will be there, ready to show the world who we are!

Your portfolio shows a wide range of creative skill – from the ability to create captivating short-form videos and execution of campaign strategies across integrated marketing programs and in-the-moment opportunities. You thrive in situations where you must move rapidly to capitalize on dynamic situations. You are constantly thinking about innovative ways to tell our story, increase brand presence and respond to emerging social media trends to engage our audience. You also obsess about small details and insights because you know how to take “good enough” to great.

Responsibilities:

Ideate, shoot and edit high-quality short form video content for various digital platforms, including capturing content from live events, planned shoots, and in-the-moment opportunities.
Generate innovative ideas that resonate with our target audience and align with our digital strategy. This includes collaborating on creating storyboards, art direction, scripting, overall concept development and presentation.
Produce a wide variety of corporate videos for internal and external use that tell VERSANT’s story in unique and compelling ways, including sizzles, interview driven tapes, mini docs, etc.
Deliver compelling presentations of creative concepts to drive excellent and innovative storytelling and influence stakeholders at all levels, from team members to senior leadership.
Collaborate closely with the Communications and Marketing teams to develop opportunities for content creation, respond to industry news, and assist in the planning, execution, and optimization of our digital content to achieve KPIs - such as video views, engagement, reach and follower growth.
Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and persistence to overcome challenges and ensure timely, successful delivery, even for complex or high-stakes initiatives.
Stay updated on the latest social media and video production trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into our content strategy.

Qualifications

1+ years experience in social media and/or digital content production.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Expert proficiency of industry-standard creative software – Photoshop, Premiere, Canva, After Effects, Lightroom, Mobile Video Editing apps
Technical expertise in video production and still photography with a thorough understanding of lighting, composition, audio capture, post-production, and related digital imaging technology.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Desired Characteristics:

Strong design, layout and typographic skills
A fundamental expertise of the various social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok etc), algorithms, formats, best practices, trends and how to best develop content to maximize engagement.

Additional Requirements:

A digital portfolio is required, applicants that submit without a portfolio will not be considered.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000
