POSITION SUMMARY

The Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of culinary services for our Members and guests.  This Employee Partner supports a la carte and private event food production.  In addition, s/he maintains consistent food preparation and plate presentation for a la carte venues and catered events.  The Cook also maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times of the day, helping to ensure the safety of fellow Employee Partners.

 

 IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Well organized and self-motivated. 
  • Experience cooking a wide variety of cuisine with a focus on local product and seasonality.
  • 2 or more years of experience in restaurant or banquets preferred. 
  • Experience in execution of appetizers, salads, action stations and entrée firing.
  • Able to understand and communicate in English and must be able to communicate effectively to team members and managers
  • Possess a team member spirit and work closely with others 
  • Responsible for preparation and assisting in execution of banquets and special events.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Good knife skills
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent personal hygiene
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work for long hours on your feet
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Punctual and able to work as needed
  • Strong Work ethic
  • Cleans work area when cooking is completed. Assists in keeping kitchen area clean, including walk-in freezers and dry storage areas.
  • Operates equipment in safe and sanitary manner.
  • Oregon food handlers card
  • Drug test required, will not test for THC
  • Reliable Transportation.
