The Role

Royal Sydney is seeking a creative and agile Content Creator, specialising in Photography and Videography to join the Communications team in a permanent part-time role (3 days per week).

This role is centred on end to end content planning, hands on capture, editing and publishing high-quality photography and short-form video of Club events, sport and member experiences. Working within the Communications team and in collaboration with cross-department teams, you will help bring the Royal Sydney story to life across digital platforms.

The role suits a hands-on photographer / videographer with experience in social media, email and website content planning and publishing.  You will thrive on recognising opportunity around the club to capture content and create visual storytelling.  

Flexibility is essential, including regular weekend work to support events and content capture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality photography from member events, staff, hospitality products, spaces and styling
  • Capture and edit short-form video content across events, sport and Club activities
  • Create fast-turnaround event recap content
  • Plan, schedule and publish content across social and digital channels
  • Monitor engagement and contribute ideas to refine content performance
  • Support communications campaigns and content coordination
  • Assist with other basic Communications tasks such as visual design and copy writing to match content publishing
  • Collaborate with Events, Membership and Hospitality teams to capture timely content

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience creating short-form video content
  • Video editing and photography capability
  • Confidence working with professional equipment such as DSLR cameras
  • Experience publishing content across digital platforms
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated confidence with using Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop)

Experience in content analytics, graphic design tools or communications environments is advantageous but not essential.
