English Language Teacher (ESL) for children in Katy, TX

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English (ESL) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our client in Katy.

Job Information:

Ref. C196119: The student is a 7-year-old child

• Location: The student's home in Katy, Texas (ZIP code: 77494)
• Availability: Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm
• Frequency: 2x week, 60 minutes per session
• Current English level: Novice
• Native language: Portuguese
• Student's language needs and goals: Getting fluent in English. Working on Writing skills for school.
• Additional information: He studies English at school, but is not fluent. He knows some vocabulary. / He doesn't like to do homework. He loves talking and participating in school activities. / He likes soccer, superheroes, science, cars, and Lego.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in English
• To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of English as a second language teaching experience
• ​​​​​​​Experience teaching children is a must
