Performs customer service assisting in the operations of golf programs and services.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class is responsible for working at club house, handling receipt of monies and assisting customers. Provides assistance with the public/players with scheduling tees times, selling merchandise, starting players, overseeing starters and maintenance of golf carts. Work involves performing preventative maintenance of equipment and completing reports/records. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Golf Course Director or Club House Assistant and reviewed through observation, periodic conferences, reports, and results.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, fingering, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Must be able to perform light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or pull or otherwise move objects.
Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and analyze activity data and figures, operate a computer, operate golf carts, and be able to inspect the work of others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work is generally performed in inside and outside environments, in extreme hot and cold weather, and exposed to various hazards such as working in heavy traffic, chemicals, moving mechanical parts, dusts, mists and oils. Work is also subject to the final OSHA standards on blood borne pathogens. The work environment involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental risks which require a range of safety and other precautions. Employees will be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shield.
