Children Soccer Instructor (Montlake Community Center)

The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is hiring an Children Soccer Instructor to deliver an instructional soccer program for toddlers/youth at Montlake Community Center. The Soccer Instructor will be responsible for programming and delivering a soccer class to children aged 3-6 years. The instructor will be responsible for creating lessons and teaching the fundamentals of soccer. The instructor must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of children and manage a classroom of students. A passion for teaching and soccer are a must!

Location: Montlake Community Center

 

Schedule:

  • Mondays from 3-5pm- approx. 2 hours per week.  Hours not guaranteed and depend on enrollment.

  • Program dates:  February 3rdth – March 31st, 2025

 

Children Soccer Instructor duties and responsibilities include:

  • Creation and delivery of programs in the area of soccer.

  • Ensuring high quality programs that are accessible to diverse patrons.

  • Providing SPR and ARC leadership with supply lists to purchase.

  • Set-up and tear down for program.

  • Occasional light cleaning of program space, if needed.

  • Supervising and ensuring the safety of all participants.

  • Reporting any accidents or behavioral incidents to SPR/ARC leadership promptly and documenting where appropriate.

  • Big Idea – You are the Subject Matter Expert, and we rely on your expertise to lead a great patron experience

 

Children Soccer Instructor requirements include:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Prior youth programming experience required

  • Prior soccer experience required

  • If hired, you will have approximately 3 hours of Human Resources new hire onboarding/training

  • If hired, must successfully complete/pass a background check

  • If hired, must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and valid government issued ID

  • Preference given to candidates who have led comparable programs for youth

 

Starting Pay: $24.50/hour
Full Pay Range: $24.50-34.50/hr (employee could earn up to $34.50/hr with years of additional employment)
