THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP FOR THE 2026 SEASON. College Credit available. In person in Brockton, MA.
The Brockton Rox are seeking a beat reporter/journalist for their 2026 season. This on-site position will take place almost entirely in the press box at Campanelli Stadium, and we are looking for a sports journalism student with a strong passion for baseball and reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
You are expected to be able to attend at least 75% of home games at Campanelli Stadium.
You will serve as the primary beat writer for the 2026 Brockton Rox. This role will include writing game recaps, interviews, and feature articles on players, as well as more unique writing opportunities throughout the season. The role will also include compiling specific quotes, statistics, and storylines prior to a game or series in an effort to further the storytelling abilities of the entire press box. As a beat reporter, you are also expected to be available to assist others in the press box during the game.

All press box employees are also expected to assist in other areas in the press box when needed and are encouraged to learn any other roles that they desire.
