The Strategic Analytics team has a unique charter within Media Group Decision Sciences to use data to power decision-making for high-profile, cross-functional initiatives across the entire organization. As an Analyst on the team, you will be a key contributor who uses data to creatively solve real-life business problems that have a tangible impact on the growth of Peacock and NBCUniversal overall.
In this role, you will delve into extensive datasets to support executive reporting, measure business performance, uncover actionable insights, and conduct customer segmentation analyses to drive cross-functional strategy for stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Content and more. You will be hands on with the data yet also play an active role in building relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Query and analyze complex datasets to develop actionable insights that enable decision-making and support initiatives across various teams within NBCU Media Group
Apply a range of analytics and data science skillsets (from descriptive analytics to prescriptive analytics) to solve data problems
Support standard reporting needs, including dashboard development, to provide visibility into the health of the NBCU/Peacock business
Support ad hoc analyses to answer critical time-sensitive business questions, identifying areas of strategic opportunity for the business
Inform decision-making by visually and verbally synthesizing data into easy-to-consume storylines for key stakeholders
Be a member of a high performing, highly collaborative analytics team that promotes a culture of data-driven decision-making across NBCU Media Group
Help contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative fields
1-3 years of experience with querying and analyzing large complex data sets, data visualization, and data storytelling
Proficient expertise with analytical and data visualization tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Tableau, or equivalent tools)
Strategic thinker with the ability to derive conclusions and recommendations from raw data
Self-starter with strong attention to detail, sense of curiosity, accountability, and ability to execute projects of all sizes with vision and purpose
Ability to deliver on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Team oriented and collaborative with an aptitude and willingness to learn
Experience using data analytics techniques for a wide variety of uses cases, including customer segmentation and reporting on key performance indicators, a plus
Knowledge of data science techniques, a plus
Understanding of analytics for direct-to-consumer businesses (video streaming, eCommerce, or subscription) a plus

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
