Job Description
VERSANT, Comcast Corporation’s (NASDAQ: CMCSA) planned spin-off, will be a leading independent publicly traded media company comprised of most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.
Responsibilities:
Primary focus on billing for 3rd party customers:
Weekly/Monthly/Annual Billings across all Fandango businesses: Generate invoices in SAP, and manage invoice distribution to customers' accounts payable systems
Process account adjustments, credit memos, and customer refunds as needed
Collections of all Accounts Receivable, tracking of A/R Aging – partner with internal departments and customers
Cash Application for payments
Serve as point of contact for all customers for set-up, payment inquiries: New Customer setup and maintenance in SAP
Organize and maintain monthly accounting records for Accounts Receivables: Post daily bank deposits to customer accounts in SAP. Research and resolve any customer invoice and payment discrepancies
Bad Debt Reserve Analysis: track bad debt on a quarterly basis
Responsible for the month-end close process for A/R, including preparing and posting journal entries
Support the month-end close process for Promo business, including preparing and posting journal entries. Complete ad-hoc analysis as directed by Promo Controller and Manager.
Complete month-end account reconciliations, preparation and review, on a timely basis
Responsible for data requests from various departments, including FP&A, Promo Operations
Provide testing documents and other requests for external and internal audits as required
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Complete ongoing accounting projects to build efficiencies and automation
Other various special projects and analysis, as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Preferred 1+ years of prior accounting experience, with strong analytical skills
Intermediate MS Excel and Word skills are required
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Supportive teamwork attitude
Ability to work independently
Project management experience
Understanding of general ledger functionality
Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, to meet business needs
