Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Generate new cross-platform ad sales revenue through integrated, multi-platform sponsorships on NBC Sports Bay Area and California, NBC Bay Area (KNTV) and Telemundo (KSTS).
Cross-Platform portfolio features NBC Spot On, an OTT CTV solution that includes exclusive NBC content that is only available through Peacock.
Sports portfolio contains over 600 live events on both our Linear and Streaming platforms that include the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, San Jose Sharks, San Jose Earthquakes, and Sacramento Kings.
Business-development revenue will be primary focus. Region includes Northern California and the Pacific Northwest
Strong storytelling ability from a marketer’s perspective; understanding key brand initiatives and how our platforms can help deliver against KPIs.
Achieve quarterly/yearly linear and cross-platform sales goals
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years experience in direct sales
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to develop relationships with clients and co-workers
Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment
Embraces social media and technology

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

Salary range: $90,000 - $150,000 (SIC eligible)
