🏏 About the Role

Cricket Associations across Victoria are seeking expressions of interest from community-minded individuals to serve as Tribunal Members. This is a vital volunteer role that helps ensure fairness, integrity, and respect remain at the heart of our game.

Tribunal Members sit on panels to hear and determine matters relating to player, official, and club conduct. Working within the Association’s Tribunal By-Laws and the Code of Behaviour, members contribute to upholding standards of sportsmanship and providing fair and consistent outcomes.

💪What You’ll be Doing:

• Attend tribunal hearings as required during the season (usually evenings online or face-to-face hearings occur).

• Review evidence, listen to all parties, and apply association rules and codes in decision-making.

• Ensure hearings are conducted fairly, respectfully, and without bias.

• Contribute to written outcomes and decisions in line with association procedures.

🎯What You’ll Bring:

• Strong integrity, impartiality, and sound judgment.

• Experience in sport, law, education, governance, or community organisations (desirable but not essential).

• Effective communication and active listening skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a panel.

• Commitment to upholding the values of community cricket, including child safety and inclusion.

🏆 What We Offer:

• Full induction and training in tribunal procedures and codes of behaviour.

• The opportunity to contribute to the integrity and fairness of community cricket.

• A valued role within the cricket community, supporting safe and respectful participation for all.

⌚Commitment

Tribunal hearings are scheduled as needed throughout the season. The time commitment is flexible, and a pool of tribunal members ensures fair distribution of hearings.
