Our mission is to provide high-quality and accessible tennis programs, services, events, and facilities that inspire and enrich the lives of all Cary citizens.
Not only will this position provide a student with an interest in the tennis industry an introductory experience into the administration and implementation of tennis programming, but it also offers a highly sought-after opportunity to work on Cary’s renowned ATP Challenger event, The Cary Tennis Classic. Interns will also assist with tennis instruction, program support, event management, and general staff support. The position will involve considerable citizen contact, so candidates should have outstanding communication skills and a high degree of professionalism. You will also have the unique opportunity to own and run one Junior Circuit event from start to finish.
This is a seasonal (May through August or September), non-benefited position, typically approximately 25 hours a week, with a maximum of 999 hours.
Hours are typically Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. but will include some weekend hours for event and program support.
Education and Experience
Requires enrollment in a 2-year or 4-year program with major coursework in Professional Tennis Management, Sport Management, Coaching, or a related field.
Requires tennis playing experience at a minimum of the high school varsity level.

Physical Requirements
Work in this class requires the ability to be out on the tennis courts, in some cases in extreme weather conditions, for extended periods of time; must be able to feed tennis balls for extended periods of time.
