Wilson Golf GroupThe Wilson Golf Group owns and operates eight golf facilities in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota,
and Wisconsin. Our facilities range from 18 hole executive courses to 27 hole facilities with
large food and beverage operations. With The Wilson Golf Group’s recent growth, we are
seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This position will play a crucial role
in supporting our finance and HR needs, ensuring efficient and accurate financial management
and administrative processes.
The Role:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting and HR functions within the
company. Reports to and will support the Accounting Manager.
Your Skills:
- You are organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong planning skills.
- A solid understanding of accounting concepts and GAAP.
- The ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.
- Independent, self-motivated, and possess a positive attitude.
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, such as accounts payable
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
- Prepare and process journal entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Track and maintain fixed asset schedules.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Assist with payroll processing and associated reporting.
Our Requirements:
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. OR Senior or new graduate seeking a BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of GAAP.
