POSITION SUMMARY:
The Skate Program Lead is responsible for all skate programming including group lessons, camps/clinics, teams, and additional programming options. This position is responsible for creating a first-class skating experience for all participants, instructors, officials, and spectators across all our offerings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Directly align with the SFM Statement and Core Values
- Execute all aspects of the skate program
- Provide effective training, workflow structure, and leadership for the skate program
- Effectively manage all aspects of the program/camp registration process
- Create efficient purchasing/registration experience for all program participants
- Recruit, train, and mentor instructors to deliver high-quality instruction and exceptional guest service
- Build and maintain strong relationships with skaters, families, and local skating organizations to foster a positive and inclusive skating community
- Monitor program performance, enrollment trends, and participant feedback to assess effectiveness and implement improvements
- Oversee the organization and execution of shows, exhibitions, and competitions, showcasing skater development and promoting the program
- Ensure participants keep locker room neat and clean
- Serve as MOD as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years in skate program management or related field is preferred
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of figure skating levels and requirements
- Must be a member in good standing with ISI and/or USFSA
- Must have knowledge of recreational/facility management software programs
- Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Must be a team player
- Must have verbal and written communications skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours)
- Must possess current CPR/AED/First Aid certification or must be willing to obtain them within 90 days of hire
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
- Will be required to work in cold environments for extended periods of time
- Will be required to operate a computer
- Facility has intermittent noise
