Position Summary: Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support to the Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. This role is essential in helping coordinate services for youth with serious emotional disturbances, ensuring efficient communication among team members, and assisting with documentation, scheduling, and community-based coordination. The Program Assistant helps maintain the overall organization and effectiveness of the program to support high-quality, person-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Youth ACT Team, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and preparing meeting materials.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including client records, progress notes, and team communications in accordance with OMH and agency policies.
- Serve as a liaison between families, providers, and team members to ensure timely follow-up and coordination of services.
- Assist with data entry, tracking referrals, and compiling reports for internal use and state compliance requirements.
- Organize transportation logistics and support coordination for youth and family appointments when needed.
- Monitor inventory of program supplies and assist with ordering and organizing materials for team activities.
- Support staff in coordinating care team meetings, family engagement events, and community-based outreach activities.
- Ensure confidentiality and adherence to all relevant privacy standards in all communications and documentation
Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma required
- Associate's degree preferred
Experience:
- At least 1-3 years of experience as a clerical assistant or in healthcare customer service required
- Driver's License
and ability to maintain insurability throughout
