This is a full-time fixed-term contract from August 2026 to March 2027.

About the role 
 

As Event Lead (Product Operations), you will drive the successful planning and operational delivery of Tennis Australia (TA) and Australian Open (AO) official events. You will lead end-to-end event operations across a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring exceptional experiences are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard. 
 

Supporting the Event Manager, you will be responsible for: 

  • Leading the operational planning and delivery of TA and AO official events, ensuring objectives are met, budgets are managed effectively, and programs are delivered to a high standard 
  • Leading production, catering and creative requirements, working closely with the Live Events team to ensure cohesive, high-quality event outcomes 
  • Driving project governance by facilitating project group meetings, clearly defining responsibilities, coordinating key operational elements across venues, content, marketing/brand integration, guest experience and logistics, ensuring timely delivery 
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, suppliers, venues and talent to ensure successful event execution 
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders to produce event documentation including project plans, run sheets and event orders 
  • Overseeing on-site event operations, providing real-time problem solving, and ensuring all events are delivered to a best-in-class standard 
  • Managing event budgets, financial tracking, procurement processes, and post event reporting and reconciliation 
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency and contribute to the ongoing evolution of events 


About you 
To be successful in this role you will bring:  

  • Demonstrated experience delivering events, with a strong focus on corporate-style event environments
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering large-scale, complex or high-profile events from concept through to delivery 
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines  
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across a range of levels  
  • Demonstrated capability in managing budgets and timelines with a high level of accuracy 
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
