Pro Star Student Technical Operator - Current VMHS Students Only

Judson ISD active High School Student enrolled in Media Independent Study or Media Technology II

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for the set-up, technical operations and strike of events held at the Judson ISD D.W. Rutledge Stadium. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Certification Requirements

• Must be a Judson ISD active High School Student in the advanced Media Technology classes:  Media Independent Study or Media Technology II

 Special Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to set up and strike video cameras and production computers
• Ability to switch between cameras, commercials, fan prompts, and other forms of digital media
• Ability to program cues, patch and operate audio and video equipment

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Set up cameras
• Operate the V-Play and Pro Star computer software
• Pre-load and edit all media prepared for a football game or other event
• Pull cables, edit photos, create graphics, and run rigging 
• Clean cameras, computers, and responsible for inventory of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned, based on department needs 
• Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
• Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job

N/A

Equipment Used:

Professional video cameras, Venus 7000 and V-Play Software, Technical Switching equipment

Video and Audio Recording

Mental Demands:

Ability to communicate (verbal and written), instruct, read, understand verbal instructions, and maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions

Physical Demands: 

Frequent: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs and/or ramps, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity, distinguishing colors.

Environmental Factors:

Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise, low or intense illumination, vibration.
