🏏 Join Cricket Victoria – As our Payroll Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to Join our Finance team on a Part-Time Basis (0.8), to manage the payroll obligations of Cricket Victoria, ensuring timely delivery, and accurate and insightful reporting and analysis.

💪The Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for staff, players, and casuals, including expenses, allowances, and journals.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations (SRO, Workcover, Superannuation, Awards, Cricket Australia, etc.).
• Support accurate month-end and year-end reporting, including Cricket Australia player payment reporting.
• Maintain payroll systems and data integrity while providing clear payroll reporting and variance analysis to management.
• Respond to payroll queries and deliver insights that drive efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Finance and Leadership teams to enhance payroll processes and resource management.

🎯 About You:

Essential

• 2–5 years’ experience in payroll or a similar role, with strong self-management and attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting (PAYGW, STP, Workcover, superannuation, etc.).
• Ability to interpret legislative changes and communicate impacts to leadership.
• Proven stakeholder management skills with clear, professional communication.
• Proactive, accurate, and deadline-driven with a focus on delivering quality results.
• Working With Children Check (Employee)

Desirable

• Experience with Employment Hero HR and Payroll will be highly regarded
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
