Parapro - Positive Behavior Support (PBS)

REPORTS TO: Building Principal
FLSA STATUS: Nonexempt
START DATE: 2026-27 school year
SCHEDULE: Part-Time, School-Year
WEEKLY HOURS: Monday-Friday approximately 32.5 hours per week (when students are in session)
SALARY RANGE: Class III Support Staff Pay Schedule ($16.92/hour Base)
SUMMARY:
The PBS (Positive Behavior Support) Paraprofessional provides behavioral, instructional, and social-emotional support to students within general education and targeted support settings. Working under the direction of certified staff and administration, this position assists in implementing positive behavior interventions and student support plans, promotes student engagement, and helps maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.
This role primarily supports students with behavioral and social-emotional needs and contributes to a school-wide system of positive behavior supports.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions are the core responsibilities required to perform this role. These duties ensure students receive appropriate behavioral and instructional support aligned with district expectations. The PBS Paraprofessional is also responsible for other duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of students and the district.
