About the role

This role is the face of tennis in the NT and will support the operations of Tennis NT, Darwin International Tennis Centre (DITC), and Tennis NT member clubs. You will be based at reception at DITC during office hours and strive to ensure that everyone who enquires about tennis products and services are dealt with promptly and effectively.

 This role will assist with the overall smooth running of Tennis NT and tennis operations more broadly. You will support the NT tennis community and Tennis NT’s member clubs by providing timely, clear information to people interested in tennis in the NT.

Communication, organisation, and the desire to work in a close-knit regional environment within a small organisation are key to your success in this role.

In this role you will:

  • Greet visitors with ensuring every interaction reflects the values of Tennis.
  • Respond to in-person, phone, and online queries, providing accurate information and directing people appropriately.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Darwin International Tennis Centre and Tennis NT.
  • Be the primary point of contact regarding venue hire at Darwin International Tennis Centre.
  • Support the delivery of major tennis events.
  • Provide administration support including, accounts, invoicing, assisting with arranging travel.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience in an administration or retail role.
  • An interest in tennis or community sport.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and is comfortable on the phone and in-person.
  • The ability to learn new processes and systems quickly, as well as proficiency with MS Suite & social media.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis NT.
