Enterprise news stories
Gather information
Shoot, write and edit newsworthy events including breaking/spot news, general news, sports and feature stories relevant to the Washington, D.C. community
Create web content that complements the station website
Report, write and produce packages content for multiple newscasts each day and for other platforms as assigned
Develop and maintain a network of news sources providing access to exclusive local news
Active community involvement
Work closely with Producers, News Managers and Assignment Editors, as well as Reporters and Anchors to gather, produce, write and desktop edit
Research and produce news segments
Field produce, conduct interview and shoot stories
Present stories live on air partnering with photographers and as a single person MMJ
Develop and pitch story ideas
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Multimedia Journalist
Minimum 2 years of experience in newsgathering, reporting and/or production
Minimum 2 years of experience writing, producing and desktop editing
Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Communications or related majors and/or equivalent experience
Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C.
Be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Bilingual (English/Spanish) both written and verbal
Must be 18 years or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
