GENERAL INFORMATION
Title: Department: Heritage High School Salary Grade: $1,500.00 Stipend
FLSA Status: Exempt
Site/Location:  Heritage High School Reports to: Athletic Director Date: 10/1/2024
POSITION SUMMARY
  • Responsible for heading the Middle School Baseball Program.
  • Coaching, instructing, and performing other duties assigned by the coach and or Athletic Director necessary to the development of the individuals and the team.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Planning and teaching student-athletes the rules, techniques, and equipment to become a better baseball players. 
  • Assists and directs individual and group practice activities.
  • Monitoring student-athletes during practices and competitions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous coaching experience is preferred.
  • Experience in baseball and baseball techniques is essential.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • The coach must have completed or completed a mandatory coaches certification class under the Virginia High School League.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
  • None 
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimal travel may be required to and/or from sporting events within neighboring localities.
