Announcement Information

This is a part-time non-eligible position limited to 1,000 hours per year.  

General Summary

Golf Course groundskeeping staff perform golf course mowing using power equipment, bunker maintenance, trash removal, tree maintenance including planting, pruning and line trimming, and custodial services in restrooms and public areas.

 

May assist with cart staging and cleaning when lower-level staff are not available.

 

May assist with repair and installation of irrigation equipment on golf courses or start up and shut down of golf course irrigation systems on a yearly basis.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  1. Be at least 16 years old and a high school graduate; OR have completed the State requirements for a G.E.D. certificate; OR be an emancipated minor; OR have passed their 18th birthday.

NOTE: When assigned to Golf Course Grill rooms or Beverage Cart, must have passed their 18th birthday, per the State of Michigan, due to the sale of alcoholic beverages.

  1. Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator’s or chauffeur’s license. Out of country driver’s license holders will be required to obtain the appropriate valid State of Michigan driver’s license before the hire date.

  2. Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.

  3. Successfully complete the six month probationary period.

Special Requirements

Must maintain a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur’s license.

Pay Range

USD $15.42 - USD $15.42 /Hr.
