ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated First XI Cricket Assistant Coach, who will be responsible for assisting the direction and coaching of the Schools Senior Cricket team.

The successful candidate will support the First XI Cricket Coach with both pre-season and in-season training sessions, focusing on the development of cricket-specific skills, leadership, and sportsmanship.

The role involves supporting game days, travelling with the team to away venues, ensuring player welfare, and fostering positive relationships through regular constructive feedback.

This is a seasonal contract commencing August 2025.

This role requires availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons, as well as from 8:30am to 5:00pm on Saturdays.

ABOUT YOU

Knowledge & skills:

  • Extensive experience working with adolescents in the delivery of sport training and development
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Demonstrated cricket coaching experience at a high level
  • Effective time management skills – the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work within agreed timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders

 Qualifications:

  • Level 1 coaching accreditation relevant to cricket as a minimum
  • Level 2 First Aid and CPR Qualification
  • Working with Children Check
  • Police Check
