The Role

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Club’s kitchens, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality and diverse meals that reflect the prestige of Royal Sydney. The Executive Chef will be an enthusiastic and positive leader within the House department, bringing energy and focus to foster strong collaboration across Food and Beverage, Kitchen, and Events teams.

About The Royal Sydney Golf Club

The Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members’ club, is one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions. The Club offers members and guests an exceptional array of sporting, dining and hospitality experiences.

2025 marks an exciting period of renewal for the Club, with the reopening of the Bay Course and a modernisation program across Food & Beverage designed to elevate dining experiences while respecting the traditions of Royal Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee menus for multiple outlets including; Fine dining restaurant, Snack Bar & Halfway House, Fitness Centre Café, Large and small functions & Daily staff meals.
  • Hands-on kitchen leadership when needed, but equally confident driving strategic outcomes.
  • Implement best-practice systems and process improvements. 
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing kitchen team.
  • Collaborate with leadership and all departments on outlet visions and strategies.

 Qualifications & Experience

  •  7 years + proven success as an Executive Chef or Senior Head Chef in a premium hospitality venue or luxury hotel. 
  • A strong creative vision and track record of delivering innovative, seasonal menus while meeting commercial targets.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multi-outlet culinary operations, including functions and events.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience with budgets, COGS management & labour control.
  • Hands-on operational expertise combined with strategic leadership capability.
