About the role

The Events and Operations Coordinator is responsible for the operations of national programs to ensure clubs,
coaches and teachers have a positive experience with the national governing body. As a key member of the national programs team, the role will also coordinate communication with our internal teams, delivery network and participants, ensuring key messages are distributed to players, deliverers and staff. This is a 12 month max-term contract, full time.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and Member Associations to manage timelines and coordinate the ordering of equipment and merchandise from suppliers.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day logistics of equipment and merchandise distribution from the warehouse for national program teams, deliverers and participants.
  • Support in the ideation and formation of ideas to showcase tennis programs and initiatives at the Australian Open.
  • Review, in collaboration with the coach team, yearly coach membership communication.
  • Educate the Customer Support team on program related content and support with any program related enquires or matters, including the Customer Support Teams channel.


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of the Australian Tennis industry and or Sports industry
  • Excellent time management, well organised with great attention to detail
  • The ability to bring groups of people together and align on processes
  • Problem solving skills and ability to pivot in challenging and time sensitive circumstances
  • A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
  • A preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
