Pay Range: $14.81/hour

Position Purpose
This position is responsible for supporting the efforts of the waitpersons and management in serving the guest.

Essential Job Functions
Greeting of customers, maintains cleanliness of restaurant. Provides continuous flow of supplies to bus station. Helps with clean-up and set up of private parties. Assist waitperson in serving water and coffee. Wipes silverware and ensures that all supplies are clean and ready for use. Assist waitpersons in getting the dining room ready for business. Takes soiled dishes to dishwashing area. Racks glassware in appropriate place. Maintain restaurant equipment, chairs, tables, floors, as needed. Sort soiled linen and deliver to appropriate place. Travels to and attends team and organizational meetings, training, events and activities and appropriately and professionally represents the department.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multi-task.
Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to support organizational objectives and interact with all levels of personnel within the city in a positive and cooperative manner.

License & Certification
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Experience Related
Prior restaurant and customer service experience helpful.

Physical Demands
Strenuous to extreme physical effort that includes frequent use of heavy objects (e.g., 50+ pounds) and may also use heavy tools or require strenuous application in awkward positions

Hazards
Occasional hazards that are predictable or well protected against (Hazardous waste, ladders, cleaning supplies, trips and falls

Work Environment
Regular exposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.

The City of Arvada does not offer benefits to temporary and/or seasonal employees.  Temporary, Variable Hour and Health Plan Eligible employees will earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum cap of 48 hours.
