Job Description

  • Coaching and Designing Game Plans and Strategies – Assist with the planning and implementation of daily practice sessions and game day strategy.  Work with individual student-athletes during the championship and non-championship segments to refine and develop skills. And mentoring student-athletes for success on the field and in the classroom. 35%

  • Recruiting Coordinator for the Soccer Team – Coordinate recruiting efforts with prospective student-athletes: recruiting evaluations, emails/mailings, on and off campus visits, admissions process and offers of athletically related financial aid. 20%

  • Coordinate Team Travel Logistics, assist with Soccer Camps and Clinics, and organize community engagement – Develop team travel itinerary for away games which includes booking buses and hotel accommodations, planning restaurant reservations and other logistical considerations associated with team travel. Develop summer soccer camps and clinics in conjunction with the head coach, which includes marketing, facility reservations, hiring and supervising camp staff, completing all necessary paperwork, scheduling, and supervision of all camp/clinic related responsibilities.  Organize community engagement activities, including efforts with local youth soccer teams. 10%

  • Video - Analyzing and breaking down film for team/individual purposes.  Also, coordinate the game tape exchange as required by the NSIC. 5%

  • Additional Duties Assigned by Head Coach – Complete any additional duties or special projects assigned by the Head Coach. 5%

  • Departmental Administrative Athletics or Campus Duties – This could include anything from marketing, media relations, advising or other support services depending on the successful candidates' qualifications and department needs. 25%

Salary Range: $64,963.00 - $188,620.00/annually

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Progressive coaching and/or playing experience

  • Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and effective communication orally and in writing

  • Evidence of a valid driver’s license, or ability to acquire a legal driver’s license or qualify for a reasonable accommodation

  • Commitment to academic success of student-athletes

  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualification 

  • Master’s degree

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations

  • Demonstrated experience coaching

  • Familiarity with recruiting and scouting software

Other Requirements

Ability to work nights and weekends.  Appointment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
