Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience working in a collegiate or professional Athletic Communications, Sports Information, Media Relations, Sports Journalism and/or Marketing & Promotions environments. Experience with social media content creation and execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Previous experience with a Division I Athletic Program. Experience in athletic game operations as it relates to PR/Communications/Media/etc. Experience with general graphic design principles, typography and color theory as well as production process for print and digital media.
Brief Description of Duties:
The Assistant Director of Creative Services will lead in the management of the Stony Brook University Athletics brand and serve as a main collaborator for the department's digital, video and graphic content. This position is responsible to provide oversight of the department's visual identity and reinforce a consistent brand for the University and execute the productions of live sporting events for Stony Brook Athletics. The Assistant Director will work closely with external staff to establish the design and content for electronic communications, athletic marketing and ticket sales initiatives, and development campaigns. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Creative Services.

This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
