Description

The Role: 

Carey Baptist Grammar School are currently accepting applications for friendly and motivated individuals to join our vibrant sport community as casual sport coaches. This position is for the summer sport season, commencing in late January 2026.

Support students of all levels and abilities within the middle and senior school (Years 7-12) to thrive and reach their sporting goals!
 
An opportunity exists within this role to bring high-level coaching and organisation skills into practice as a lead coach.

The Average Day:

  • Help our coaches with drills, warm-ups, and practice matches.
  • Set up equipment, support with logistics, and ensure everything runs smoothly on match days. 
  • Participate in the Carey community, promoting sport and encouraging new players to join.
  • Attend weeknight training sessions (3.00pm - 5.00pm) and Saturday match days (8.00am - 12.00pm) as required.
     
The Person:
 
To be successful in this position, you will have: 
  • A love for sport and a good understanding of the game.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with coaches, players, and volunteers.
  • Bring energy, positivity, and a can-do spirit to every task.
  • Willingness to work on weekends.
A valid Employee Working with Children Check is a requirement of employment for this position.
