About the role
We are now seeking a Publicity Manager – Australian Open (AO) to join our team on a 12-month fixed term basis.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to an experienced and creative publicist, likely with an agency background and with a strong news sense and eye for a great story and photo opp. You’ll bring outstanding relationships, sharp writing skills and ability to juggle multiple campaigns in a high energy environment.
As AO Publicity Manager, you’ll lead a year-round publicity strategy that elevates the tournament’s global and domestic profile, drives integrated storytelling across traditional and new media, and showcases the tournament’s innovation, commercial partnerships, and core pillars of food, family and entertainment.
Reporting into the Head of PR, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to drive traditional, digital, and social coverage for the Australian Open year-round. From major announcements and partner campaigns to influencer activations and media relations, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the world sees the AO!
