PRIMARY PURPOSE: Advance decision-making quality across the business organization in partnership with our Corporate Partnership & Premium Hospitality (CPPH) teams through strategic analysis. Execute and improve both organizations’ critical analytics functions (e.g., product development/pricing/analysis/profit margin, data management, business intelligence, inventory management). Drive profitable improvements in the CPPH business by translating data into actionable insights and operational advancement. Partner with Guardians and CPPH relevant departments to develop and implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analyses that support Strategic Priorities across each organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
General Business Intelligence
- Translate data into digestible and informative business intelligence dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI, aligning dashboard design with organizational standards for cross-product consistency.
- Approach business challenges and questions from a quantitative and analytical perspective, using data to improve processes and develop clear recommendations.
- Synthesize and communicate actionable insights through written, visual, and interactive mediums.
- Partner with Information Systems to identify opportunities to enrich and/or grow our customer database, drive data classification, accuracy, and accessibility.
- Identify, organize, analyze, and present data from sources including ticket sales, food and beverage sales, social media interaction, survey responses, performance media, email interaction, and additional sources for marketing applications.
Corporate Partnerships & Premium Hospitality (CPPH)
- Work with CPPH leaders to develop annual business plans and the measurement strategy behind these plans.
- Analyze and advise on renewal and new sales plans that increase revenue and profitability while building foundation for including evaluating sales/service cycle timelines to seek out potential improvements.
- Lead collaborative processes that help our team manage our pricing, inventory, sales pipelines, and overall health of the business. Participate as a member and resource of the Sales Leadership Team meetings.
- Actively review trend analysis in ticket sales to identify opportunities to improve revenue growth or other key business attributes.
- Act as a resource to gather feedback from sales and service staff as well as assist the Brand and Strategy teams in analyzing market research results to assess new revenue-generating product offerings.
- Partner with sales leaders and finance to identify new and profitable opportunities for our team.
- Support organizational initiatives by assisting Account Executives and Service teammates with day-to-day use of business intelligence software (i.e., Tableau or PowerBI) and CRM to continue to drive usage to translate into actionable business insights across Premium Hospitality and Corporate Partnership verticals.
Training & Development
- Assist in the growth of adoption and learning across tools and technologies within dedicated department.
- Provide thought leadership on building best-in-class, revenue-driving initiatives, collaborating with assigned team to execute.
- Oversee the test and learn process for executing targeted efforts synthesizing results for key stakeholders.
- Build and maintain key KPIs to quantify the value of results.
- Collect and compile disparate datasets from across our data assets to develop a holistic understanding of our data, partnering with IS team to operationalize these data feeds & pipelines.
- Assist in annual strategic planning, identifying strategic focus areas.
- Support external collaboration with MLB and relevant third parties to learn best practices, new capabilities, and troubleshooting techniques.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of relevant work or internship experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing or other relevant field (mathematics, operations research, information science, etc.) is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SQL, and R//Python or equivalent. Business lntelligence presentation software (Tableau, PowerBI etc.), CRM, and Customer Data Platforms are a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based providers (i.e., AWS, BigQuery, Azure) as well as data intelligence platforms (i.e., Databricks, Snowflake) are also a plus.
- Experience using quantitative tools and analytic methods in a professional setting for functions such as financial modelling, survey data analysis, product design, pricing, impact forecasting or organizational decision making preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently drive projects and deliver superior results.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $58,421.87 - $65,214.98. This range serves as a general guideline; actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
